Limited Warranty (Putter Heads, Components, and Accessories)

James Precision, LLC warrants that Cody James Putters products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for (1) year from the original delivery date (the “Warranty Period”), unless otherwise stated in the product listing.

If a covered defect arises during the Warranty Period, we will, at our option:

  • repair the product,

  • replace the product (or the defective part), or

  • issue a refund for the purchase price of the affected item (excluding original shipping, unless required by law).

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear (including finish wear, scratches, dings, paint-fill wear, sole wear, and cosmetic changes)

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, impacts, or improper storage

  • Damage from modifications, alterations, or improper installation (including aftermarket shafts/grips/weights not installed by us, unless explicitly approved in writing)

  • Unauthorized repairs or service

  • Damage from exposure to harsh chemicals, saltwater, solvents, extreme heat/cold, or corrosive environments

  • Products purchased secondhand or from unauthorized sellers

  • Minor variations in appearance or machining marks that do not affect performance

How to Start a Warranty Claim

To initiate a claim, contact us and include:

  • Your order number and proof of purchase

  • Photos/video showing the issue

  • A short description of what happened and when it started

If the claim is approved, we will provide return instructions. Do not send items back without authorization.

Shipping for Warranty Claims:

  • If the issue is confirmed as a covered defect, we will cover return shipping (or reimburse reasonable return shipping, at our discretion).

  • If the issue is not covered, the customer is responsible for shipping costs both ways.

Returns (Non-Custom / Standard Items)

We accept returns on eligible items within 30 days of delivery if:

  • The item is unused, uninstalled, and in original condition

  • The item includes all original packaging and accessories

Refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection and approval. Original shipping charges are not refundable (unless required by law).

Return Shipping:
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.

Custom & Personalized Orders (Final Sale)

Because many products are made to order, the following are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange (except for confirmed defects covered under warranty):

  • Custom builds and made-to-order configurations

  • Personalized items (engraving, stamping, custom specs, special finishes)

  • Any product labeled “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable”

Exchanges

If you need a different standard item (e.g., a non-custom accessory), contact us within 30 days of delivery. Exchanges are subject to:

  • product availability

  • inspection/approval of the returned item

  • the customer covering any price differences and applicable shipping

Shipping Damage / Wrong Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, notify us within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photos of:

  • the product

  • the packaging (including shipping label)

  • any visible damage

We’ll work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved.

Refund Timing

Once your return is received and inspected, approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.

Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, James Precision, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost use, lost profits, or replacement costs) arising from the use of our products.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so these limitations may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state.
